Current Volunteer Needs

Are you available to help? SCSS currently has the following volunteer needs:

  • Volunteer Coordinators: A Coordinator for our transportation program is needed in Steinbach. Assist clients by arranging drivers for their appointments from the comfort of your own home.
  • Volunteer Drivers - assist cancer patients with rides to treatments (Steinbach, Ste Anne, Piney, St Pierre, etc.)
  • Walk for Hope Planning Committee - Walk for Hope is set for Saturday, Sept 19, 2026 and we are looking for a few enthusiastic individuals to join this year's planning committee.
  • Summer in the City Committee - join us in hosting a booth representing SCSS at Summer in the City this year! We still have a few spots left to fill. Come out for a day or just a few hours - every bit helps! (June 19-21)

If you can help in any of these areas, give us a call at 204-846-4673 or visit our website.

Calling All Survivors
A researcher from the University of New Brunswick is conducting a confidential online study exploring sexual health and well-being after cancer. This is an area that isn’t often talked about—but it matters. If you are an adult cancer survivor in Canada, you’re invited to participate in a 30-minute anonymous survey and help contribute to meaningful research that can improve support and care for others.
