Thank you to everyone who supported a variety of holiday fundraising events hosted in support of SCSS! 

  • Hope for the Holidays with Enex Siding & Rivr Financial raised $14,505
  • Snow Place Like Home at the Hanover Ag Grounds raised $1063
  • Longest Night Run raised $12,916
  • Holiday Hope Ornament Sales raised $1380
  • Loewen's Staff Silent Auction raised $4365
  • Lage Family Gymkhana in Honour of Roger Lage raised $9,668
Current Volunteer Needs

Are you available to help? SCSS currently has the following volunteer needs:

  • Volunteer Drivers - assist cancer patients with rides to treatments
  • Administrative Help - are you available to help us update our database? Looking for computer-friendly individuals to assist us from home, in your own time!
  • Walk for Hope Planning Committee - Walk for Hope is set for Sept 19, 2026 and we are looking for a few enthusiastic individuals to join this year's planning committee. 
  • Summer in the City Committee - join us in planning and running a booth representing SCSS at Summer in the City this year! (June 19-21)

Tuesdays: 2:15-3:15 pm - This group offers a safe, understanding space for anyone supporting a loved one through their cancer journey. Participants can share experiences, gain coping strategies, and connect with others who truly understand the challenges and emotions of caregiving. Whether you’re a spouse, family member, or friend, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Tuesdays: 1-2 pm - Cancer Connect is a compassionate support group designed for anyone navigating the cancer journey—from diagnosis to life after treatment. This group provides a safe, judgment-free space to connect with others who truly understand what you’re going through, listen to their stories and share your story if you wish.
