Longest Night Run Raises $6,220 for SCSS!

On the longest night of the year, Dec 21-22, 2024, 200 participants came together to observe the night in an overnight relay. Running or walking from sunset to sunrise, they moved as vigil for those who are experiencing a dark season of life. This event, which has been running annually since 2018, raised a total of $6,220 for Southeast Cancer Support Services!

The Staff and Board at SCSS want to thank The Longest Night Run participants and organizers for their generous support. The funds raised will be used to transport patients from the 88 communities across southern Manitoba to their treatments, assist with parking fees and other incidentals that are not covered through the medical system. It also allows us to run support groups, wellness programs, offer head coverings, assist with lymphedema treatments to name just a few others. There are many needs of cancer patients, and this money will be available for those needs.
