Transportation Assistance

Need A Ride?

Our transportation program helps you get to your cancer-related appointments. We offer a door-to-door service for clients who need rides through our volunteer driver program. The cost for each round trip is $10.

Self-Drive Program

For clients who have a family member or friend who is a driver, we will assist with a portion of the client’s mileage to and from appointments.

Volunteer with SCSS

Our transportation program is our most utilized support. Volunteer drivers are needed in all of our communities to transport clients to and from their medical appointments.

If you can assist with recruiting area drivers, providing driver information, and keep the contact list current, we invite you to be one of our area Driver Co-ordinators.

Please be aware that our volunteer drivers are bound by our Confidentiality and Information Privacy Policy and have been screened by our program. The driver is requested to provide a safe, convenient and comfortable ride to the best of his/her ability. If a person requires assistance medical equipment during the trip, our volunteer drivers may not be able to accomodate this.
