Self-Drive Program
Our Self-Drive Assistance Program is intended for clients who are experiencing financial strain related to the cost of gas and parking but have friends and family who can assist with driving to some or all of their appointments. Through this program, we assist with fuel and parking expenses to help reduce the financial burden of getting to and from care.
Whenever possible, this is our recommended transportation support option, as it allows clients to travel with the support of family and friends. It also helps to preserve our volunteer driver resources for individuals who have no other transportation options available.
As a non-government funded organization, this program is made possible through the generosity of private donors, fundraising efforts, and community support.

Need A Ride?
Our Volunteer Transportation Program provides door-to-door service for eligible clients who have no other transportation options available.
As a non-government funded organization, this program is made possible through the generosity of private donors, fundraising efforts, and community support.
The cost for each round trip is $25. Financial assistance available, if necessary.

Volunteer with SCSS
If you can assist with recruiting area drivers, providing driver information, and keep the contact list current, we invite you to be one of our area Driver Co-ordinators.

Please be aware that our volunteer drivers are bound by our Confidentiality and Information Privacy Policy and have been screened by our program. The driver is requested to provide a safe, convenient and comfortable ride to the best of his/her ability. If a person requires assistance medical equipment during the trip, our volunteer drivers may not be able to accomodate this.
