Volunteer Drivers

Our volunteer driver program consists of a dedicated and caring team of volunteer drivers helping people living with cancer. Our drivers offer safe, comfortable rides for those without the means to get to their appointments – giving support, understanding and hope along the way. Their commitment to this program makes this important service possible. Our volunteers are integral to the success of SCSS.

Volunteer drivers travel thousands of kilometers each year in Manitoba taking many people to radiation, chemotherapy, cancer-related medical appointments and back home again. Passengers, their families and health professionals have expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding services provided by our volunteer drivers.

If you are interested in joining our team of Volunteer Drivers, please review the Volunteer Driver Information Package and submit your application below!

What Our Volunteers
Are Saying

My reason for becoming a volunteer driver for SCSS was my cancer journey with my Mom. The number of appointments and treatments was almost overwhelming. We were very blessed by an amazing family, church family, and community that stepped up and drove for free. I want to support others who are going through the cancer journey and make it easier for them. I want to be an ear to listen, a heart of prayer, and a shoulder to lean on.
