What Is A Walk for Hope Team?
The Walk for Hope is a team-based event. Teams register with a kilometre goal in mind and take turns walking, or walk together, along the path to reach their goal. You can walk in honour of a family member or for the fun of meeting a challenge with friends!
Teams can be made up of anyone you wish: colleagues, friends, family members, church groups, etc. Each participant registers individually as a member of their team and is asked to donate a $20 fee (tax deductible). Alternately, if you have a team sponsor, this person submits the total amount for all members.

How To Set Up Your Team
Step One
Identify your team, select a team name and your team lead. Then, register your team with SCSS.
Step Two
Register each member of your team. Each participant registers individually as a member of their team and is asked to donate a $20 fee (tax deductible). Alternately, if you have a team sponsor, this person submits the total amount for all members.
Step Three
Set your team goals! Decide how much you’d like to raise as a team and what total distance you’d like to walk. For example, the distance from Vita to Steinbach, or Richer to Cancer Care Manitoba in Winnipeg. Your team can pick locations that are meaningful to them as their Walk for Hope goal!
Step Four
Each participant is asked to collect donations from sponsors. All donations of $20 or more are tax deductible. Please complete the required information on the Sponsorship Form for each donation collected.
